I found the pattern for it in allpeoplequilt, however, I didn't follow the pattern because I planned on using fabric from my stash, that was already cut into strips I wanted to use. So I started to work on the leaves.
I put them all together and added a narrow inner border, but haven't decided on a border just yet.
While trying to decide what fabric to use for the border on my leaves wall hanging, I decided to finish up the work on the tote bag designed by Gudrun Erla of G.E. Designs, that I had started last month.
It turned out a bit bigger than I thought it would, but I really like it how it turned out with the Riley Blake Snug as a Bug fabric. I'll be able to stop carrying multiple bags when I go out! Visit Barbara over at Cat Patches and see what others have started this month. Happy quilting everyone!
Nice leaf quilt! Isn't it fun to use your stash? I love it! Your tote bag is wonderful - I love the fabrics and the design. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteLove your leaves. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty wall hanging! Cool bag too!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love leaves! Great tote as well.
ReplyDeleteThat bag will surely hold LOTS of fabric! Could be dangerous!
ReplyDeleteI think your Tumbling Leaves turned out great. I never get to follow directions because of using scraps. Takes a little longer but I like scrappy!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you used for your tumbling leaves, it look wonderful in that setting. Jane
ReplyDeleteLove your tumbling leaves and very pretty bag.
ReplyDeleteI love how you saw a wall hanging you liked and then you figured out the pattern and used your stash to make one yourself. It looks wonderful, the leaves really look as though they are tumbling. Your bag worked out so well. Great colours!! Bigger is better than smaller, you'll know you can fit everything inside!
ReplyDeleteNice blog Tami, some great quilts and blocks! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are wonderful! I am really "coveting" your new tote bag! Big and roomy and I love the cheerful colors :)
