I had decided that I wanted to make a Churn Dash Quilt, so I asked hubby for assistance. Of the ones I showed him, this is the one that he said he liked the best.
I started working on the blocks using a variety of the different red fabrics that I had in my stash. Hubby and I both like red, so I had quite a few.
I don't have a design wall, so I use the floor in the living room. I originally had made only 16 blocks, but decided that I'd like a rectangular quilt rather than a square one.
Here I have all of the blocks turned into rows. I'll be connecting the rows together with sashing between and picking out what I'll be using for the border.
Visit Barbara over at Cat Patches and see what others have started this month. Happy quilting everyone!
I love this! A classic block and red/white quilts are quite popular.

ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! I love the different reds with white. I've made a churn dash block for a sampler quilt but never a full churn dash quilt. Yours looks traditional but modern - very nice! ~Jeanne
